On November 2, members of the USAID/Kenya community gathered to celebrate 50 years of partnership between the United States and Kenya.  Despite heavy rain and traffic jams, staff from USAID/Kenya were joined at the Tribe Hotel in Nairobi by various implementing partners, officials from the Government of Kenya, and other honored guests.  Throughout the evening, guests were able to view the newly released USAID/Kenya 50th Anniversary Film ‘In Step’ as well as the 50th Anniversary photo exhibit.  Implementing partners from throughout USAID were available to

On October 5-6, Amb Scott Gration helped the Government of Kenya kick off the “Let’s Live!” campaign by convening a conference focused on reducing mortality in Kenya by 50 percent by December 2012.  The campaign will accomplish its objectives by delivering sustainable outcomes in HIV/AIDS and associated illnesses, high-mortality cancers, maternal health issues, and child health issues.  Over 200 participants from 88 agencies and organizations participated in this world-class event.  Major themes included improving quality and efficiency of community-based health services; inc
